SB1007 Summary

• Amends 27A O.S. 2021, Section 3-1-103 to modify and update 20 definitions used in the Conservation District Act

• Updates the definition of "Conservation" to include management, restoration, and rehabilitation, and adds language referencing sustainable social and economic utilization

• Adds new definitions for soil science (the study of physical, chemical, and biological processes in unconsolidated material) and soil scientist (requiring a baccalaureate or higher degree in soil science with minimum 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of undergraduate science coursework and 2 years of related work experience)

• Clarifies existing definitions for terms such as "Agency of this state," "Cost-share program," and "Due notice" to align with the Administrative Procedures Act

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025
