Requires judges who preside over domestic violence cases to receive 8 hours of continuing education annually on domestic violence, substance abuse, addiction, and mental health topics.

Mandates curriculum include dynamics of domestic violence, impact on victims and children including trauma effects, identifying dominant aggressors, and batterer tactics and behavior.

Requires training to cover victim protection orders, full faith and credit provisions under the Violence Against Women Act of 1994, victim rights, and evidence-based behavioral health treatment practices.

Training shall be provided by the Administrative Office of the Courts subject to available funding.

Effective date: November 1, 2025.
