Senate Bill 1116 Summary

• Create new law requiring "THIS IS A TAX INCREASE." language printed above any ballot proposition that increases, extends, or authorizes a tax levy by the state, political subdivision, or entity.

• Language must be printed in a conspicuous manner as defined in Section 1-201 of Title 12A of the Oklahoma Statutes.

• Amend existing Section 6-113 to require the same "THIS IS A TAX INCREASE." language on state question ballots that involve tax increases, positioned above the ballot title and below the state question number.

• Effective date is November 1, 2025.
