SB 129 Summary

• Extends in-person absentee voting availability to fourteen calendar days immediately preceding any election, with voting hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

• Maintains Saturday voting from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for General Elections, Primary Elections, Runoff Primary Elections, and Presidential Preferential Primary Elections.

• Adds Wednesday voting from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. immediately preceding a General Election.

• Requires voters to swear or affirm they have not voted by mail absentee ballot and will not vote at the regular polling place; allows alternative oath-based statement if proof of identity is unavailable.

• Becomes effective January 1, 2026.
