Secretary of the State Election Board shall direct all county election board secretaries to conduct post-election audits following elections held on dates specified in Sections 1-101, 1-102, 1-103, and 20-101.

Post-election audit method, timing, and procedures shall be determined by the Secretary of the State Election Board.

County election board secretaries must report audit findings to the Secretary of the State Election Board, with reports available to the public.

"Post-election audit" is defined as a manual or electronic examination of a limited number of ballots by county election officials or other authorized election officials, conducted only at the Secretary's direction and subject to prescribed policies, rules, or procedures.

Act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
