• Raises liability caps for nuisance claims to $85,000 in counties under 150,000 population and $140,000 in counties with 150,000+ population.

• Increases general liability limit for other losses from $125,000 to $250,000, with higher caps of $375,000 for larger cities, counties, and certain political subdivisions.

• Raises liability limits for state mental health hospitals from $200,000 to $300,000 for medical negligence claims.

• Increases liability limit for resident physicians and interns in graduate medical education programs from $100,000 to $150,000.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
