Summary of Engrossed Senate Bill No. 263

• Amends the Terry Peach Water Restoration Act to expand the statewide pilot program from the North Canadian Watershed to multiple watersheds throughout Oklahoma for removal and eradication of harmful woody species.

• Increases the minimum number of active project areas from two to three, including areas above Canton Lake dam, above Lake Overholser, and the North Fork Red River into Lugert-Altus Reservoir.

• Authorizes the Oklahoma Conservation Commission to cost-share with landowners, governmental entities, and not-for-profit organizations for removal expenses using prescribed burn, biological controls, mechanical removal, or herbicide applications.

• Creates and maintains the North Canadian Watershed Water Restoration Revolving Fund to support the program, funded by appropriations, federal grants, municipal and private contributions, and interest earned.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
