SB275 Summary

• Creates the Oklahoma Workforce Housing Commission effective January 1, 2026, continuing until December 30, 2035, composed of 15 members appointed by the Governor, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and Speaker of the House, plus three ex officio members.

• Commission members include representatives from urban and rural areas, special populations, financial institutions, housing authorities, tribal governments, and non-profit organizations serving low-income Oklahomans.

• Requires the Oklahoma Workforce Commission to promulgate rules for a comprehensive housing environmental scan, annual housing reports and action plans, long-term expansion strategies for workforce and affordable housing, and policy recommendations to the Legislature.

• Commission serves as the primary coordinating body to address housing needs of workers at all income levels and facilitate community economic growth.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
