• Extends the sunset date for the Long-Term Care Facility Advisory Council from July 1, 2025 to July 1, 2026 under the Oklahoma Sunset Law.

• Maintains the thirteen-member council composition including representatives from health authorities, mental health services, human services, and licensed professionals (physicians, pharmacists, nurses).

• Includes council members representing nursing home operators, residential care home operators, adult day care operators, continuum of care facilities, and three public members over age 65 (two without long-term care experience and one who advocates for long-term care recipients).

• Council members serve two-year terms with a maximum of two reappointments, meeting at least quarterly to advise the State Commissioner of Health on quality of services and enforcement of nursing home, residential care, and adult day care regulations.

• Act becomes effective July 1, 2025 with emergency declaration for immediate implementation.
