Increases the maximum basic salary cap for county officers from $49,500 to $74,500 per annum, while maintaining the minimum of $19,000 per annum.

Raises the sheriff's salary minimum to $44,000 per annum and maximum to $74,500 per annum, ensuring the sheriff's salary is no less than other county officers covered by this section.

Retains authority of the board of county commissioners (or county budget board if applicable) to set salaries for all elected county officials within the new statutory limits.

Maintains payment of annual salaries either monthly or twice a month by order of the board of county commissioners.

Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
