Adds failure to knowingly and willfully report suspected child abuse or neglect in violation of Section 1-2-101 of Title 10A as grounds for denial or revocation of teaching certificates by the State Board of Education.

Makes knowing and willful failure to report suspected child abuse or neglect grounds for dismissal of career teachers under the Teacher Due Process Act of 1990.

Requires criminal history record check letters from prior employers to include whether the teacher was subject to any allegation of inappropriate behavior with a student.

Mandates that all school employees annually sign an attestation acknowledging their responsibility to report suspected child abuse or neglect.

Requires professional development programs to include information about reporting requirements under Section 1-2-101 of Title 10A and Section 1210.163, along with associated penalties for failure to report; effective July 1, 2025.
