The Oklahoma Broadband Office and Oklahoma Tax Commission jointly administer a rebate program for sales tax exemptions on qualifying broadband equipment purchased to establish or expand broadband services in underserved or unserved areas.

The Oklahoma Broadband Office approves or disapproves all rebate claims for equipment purchased in calendar year 2025 and subsequent years, with claims filed by September 1 of the following year; the Tax Commission issues payments from the Oklahoma Broadband Rebate Revolving Fund upon approval.

Total rebate payments are capped at $14,071,691.00 annually, with rebates distributed pro rata if claims exceed the available pool or paid in full if claims are less than the pool amount.

A new Oklahoma Broadband Rebate Revolving Fund is created in the State Treasury to pay rebate claims, with state liability limited to the fund balance.

The state appropriates $14,071,691.00 from the General Revenue Fund for fiscal year 2025 to be transferred to the new revolving fund.
