SB729 Summary

• Amends Section 753 of the Oklahoma Consumer Protection Act to add two new unlawful practices: debt collectors threatening to file suit over debts barred by statute of limitations, and debt collectors using obscene or profane language.

• Prohibits ownership, operation, maintenance, or advertisement of massage therapy establishments that employ unlicensed massage therapists, employ persons violating Section 4200.13 of Title 59, or fail to comply with the Massage Therapy Practice Act or local massage therapy regulations.

• Defines "massage therapy establishment" as a place of business where a licensed massage therapist provides massage therapy services for payment, excluding client homes.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
