The Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability shall establish student teaching requirements for teacher candidates enrolled in accredited educator preparation programs.

Requirements must include either completion of a minimum number of weeks of field experience or completion of a qualified job-embedded, competency-based teacher registered apprenticeship program.

"Teacher registered apprenticeship program" is defined as a structured program combining on-the-job training with academic instruction to prepare individuals to become teachers.

The Commission shall promulgate rules to implement the provisions of the act.

The act becomes effective July 1, 2025, with an emergency clause allowing immediate effect upon passage and approval.
