Requires coaches of athletic activities and athletic trainers to complete annual cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training, with coaches prohibited from coaching until completing required training.

Requires school nurses to complete CPR training once every two years.

Requires coaches, school nurses, and athletic trainers to complete sudden cardiac arrest training and first aid/CPR/automated external defibrillator (AED) training once each year following nationally recognized guidelines.

Requires each public school to develop a sudden cardiac emergency response plan including AED placement, staff training, coordination with emergency medical services, and periodic practice drills, with the plan updated annually.

Effective July 1, 2025, with an emergency declaration allowing immediate implementation upon passage and approval.
