Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability shall promulgate rules establishing micro-credentials for certified teachers who complete Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) certification or Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI).

Minimum requirements for CALT or CERI micro-credentials include a master's degree, completion of comprehensive therapy-level training, successful passage of a competency examination, and 28 days of instruction post-examination passage.

Certified teachers earning a CALT or CERI micro-credential are authorized to screen students for and identify characteristics of dyslexia.

Micro-credentials awarded under this section shall be reflected on a teacher's certificate to teach.

Act becomes effective July 1, 2025, with emergency declaration for immediate effect upon passage and approval.
