• Establishes felony offense for engaging in prostitution while knowingly infected with HIV, punishable by up to 5 years in Department of Corrections custody.

• Creates felony offense for child sex trafficking under Section 1029, punishable by up to 10 years in custody plus fines up to $5,000, $10,000, and $15,000 for first, second, and third-or-subsequent convictions.

• Establishes felony offense for prostitution violations within 1,000 feet of a school or church, punishable by up to 5 years in custody or fines up to $2,500, $5,000, and $7,500 respectively, plus optional 40-80 hours community service.
