SB 890 Summary

• Transfers campaign finance and financial disclosure filing duties from municipal clerks, county election boards, and school district clerks to the Oklahoma Ethics Commission for municipalities, counties, and school districts.

• Eliminates the notarization requirement for county campaign committee and political committee statements of organization, and removes the $50 nonrefundable processing fee for county campaign committees.

• Standardizes filing requirements for campaign committees, political committees, and financial interest statements across all three local government levels to match state-level Ethics Commission rules.

• Authorizes the Ethics Commission to assess late filing penalties of $100 per day (maximum $1,000) for statements and reports filed after prescribed deadlines.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
