Senate Bill 908 Summary

• Amends Section 1277 of Title 21 O.S. 2021 regarding unlawful firearm carry in certain places and modifies where lawful carry is permitted.

• Allows concealed carry of handguns at municipal zoos and parks owned or managed by public trusts or nonprofit entities, with permission from the property owner for open carry.

• Permits concealed carry of firearms on public property temporarily set aside for events without minimum-security provisions, limited to concealed carry unless the event permit holder authorizes otherwise.

• Changes language regarding elected county officials to allow a single elected official to carry a concealed handgun in county courthouses (outside courtrooms) when in performance of duties.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
