President Pro Tempore is authorized to hire necessary employees to conduct Senate business and protect Senate property during the 2025 legislative interim.

Senate Chamber, meeting rooms, and offices cannot be used by private organizations, state executive agencies, or their employees during the interim without President Pro Tempore consent.

President Pro Tempore is authorized to repair and renovate Senate-controlled Capitol space and purchase equipment, supplies, furniture, and fixtures for such space.

President Pro Tempore is authorized to appoint Senate members to interim committees and approve expense reimbursement claims for members and employees engaged in official interim business.

Powers granted are cumulative and do not replace any other powers conferred by law or rule.
