Prohibits physicians, medical students, residents, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, registered nurses, and physician assistants from performing pelvic examinations on anesthetized or unconscious female patients without authorization

Requires informed written consent from the patient prior to performing a pelvic examination while under anesthesia

Allows exceptions when the pelvic examination is within the scope of care for a surgical procedure or diagnostic examination being performed

Permits pelvic examinations on patients incapable of giving informed consent only when required for diagnosis or treatment

Effective date of November 1, 2025
