Amends 22 O.S. 2021, Section 1077 to add two new offenses to the list of crimes for which bail on appeal is prohibited: abuse against an intimate partner and abuse of a child

Sexual abuse of a child is also added as a separate category prohibiting bail on appeal

Bail on appeal remains allowed for misdemeanor convictions and felony cases where the punishment is only a fine

Courts retain discretion to grant or refuse bail after felony convictions not on the prohibited list, but must state reasons if bail is granted

Effective date: November 1, 2025
