Publicly funded school districts must obtain proof of U.S. citizenship or legal immigration status from parents/guardians at the time of student enrollment

Acceptable documentation includes U.S. birth certificates, passports, Oklahoma driver licenses or ID cards, naturalization certificates, permanent resident cards, employment authorization cards, or foreign passports with U.S. visa stamps

School districts must record citizenship status for all enrolled students, including those who could not provide documentation

Districts must submit annual reports to the State Department of Education showing counts of students who provided proof of citizenship, proof of legal immigration status, or failed to provide documentation—excluding any personally identifiable information

The bill explicitly states it shall not prohibit any child from receiving education they are entitled to under state or federal law; effective date July 1, 2025
