Postsecondary institutions must offer at least three financial literacy workshops annually for student athletes engaged in name, image, and likeness (NIL) activities, with at least two workshops being minimum 5 hours and offered within 120 days of the fall semester start

Required workshop topics include budgeting, taxes, contracts, credit and debt management, savings, investments, and entrepreneurship; marketing or solicitation by financial service providers is prohibited

Student athletes must complete either a workshop or a financial literacy course within their first two semesters of engaging in NIL activities or forfeit eligibility for NIL compensation

Institutions may provide free contract review, tax preparation, and financial advisor services to student athletes, with professionals prohibited from charging fees or soliciting financial products
