General elections for school board members moved from the first Tuesday of April to the second Tuesday of November in odd-numbered years, aligning them with regular November election cycles

Primary elections for school board candidates changed from the second Tuesday in February to the second Tuesday in June in odd-numbered years, and to the third Tuesday of June in even-numbered years

Candidates for school board must now list their political party affiliation (or nonpartisan/independent status) on their declaration of candidacy, which will appear next to their name on both primary and general election ballots

Candidate filing period changed from the first Monday through Wednesday in December to the first Wednesday through the next succeeding Friday in April
