State Board of Education authorized to assist school districts in establishing community school pilot projects and award grants subject to available funding

Community schools defined as public schools providing tailored services before, during, and after school, created collaboratively by families, educators, community organizations, local governments, and students

Pilot projects require a designated community school coordinator who must complete leadership training from an Oklahoma-based nonprofit using "science of hope" methodology

Project plans must include comprehensive needs assessments involving parents, community leaders, teachers, administrators, staff, and age-appropriate students, plus ongoing stakeholder engagement

State Board may promulgate rules and assist districts in accessing federal start-up funds from the U.S. Department of Education; effective November 1, 2025
