Creates a new misdemeanor offense for approaching or remaining within 25 feet of a first responder after receiving a verbal warning not to approach, when done with intent to impede, threaten, or harass the first responder performing official duties

Defines "first responder" to include peace officers, correctional officers, probation and parole officers, emergency medical technicians, and emergency medical care providers

Defines "harass" as willfully engaging in conduct directed at a first responder that intentionally distracts them from performing duties and serves no legitimate purpose

Violation is punishable by up to 1 year in county jail, a fine up to $1,000, or both
