Creditors and debt collectors are prohibited from reporting medical debt from lifesaving and emergency care services rendered at Oklahoma medical facilities to consumer reporting agencies

Consumer reporting agencies cannot include medical debt from lifesaving and emergency care services at Oklahoma medical facilities on consumer reports

"Lifesaving and emergency care services" is defined as necessary medical or surgical care to treat potentially life-threatening conditions or symptoms

Covered Oklahoma medical facilities include hospitals, nursing facilities, and medical offices operated by physicians, physical therapists, pharmacists, nurses, and home health care providers
