Requires businesses to provide consumers with written acknowledgment of contract terms and cancellation information, and for trial period offers, must disclose post-trial pricing and allow cancellation before payment is required

Mandates businesses provide a simple, accessible cancellation mechanism through either a direct online cancellation link on the company's website/consumer's account or an in-person option at physical locations where services are used

Requires renewal notice be sent 15-45 days before automatic renewal for contracts with initial terms of one year that renew for more than one month, delivered via mail, email, mobile app, or text message if authorized by the consumer

Exempts services from franchises or licenses issued by political subdivisions or the Corporation Commission, entities regulated by FCC/FERC, insurance entities, banks, credit unions, air carriers, alarm/locksmith/fire sprinkler industry entities, and newspapers authorized to publish legal notices; violations enforceable exclusively by the Attorney General and district attorneys; effective November 1, 2025
