CLEET-certified school resource officers hired by Oklahoma public school districts on or after July 1, 2026 will be required to participate in the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement System (OLERS) rather than the Teachers' Retirement System of Oklahoma

Public school districts employing these school resource officers will become participating employers in OLERS and must make the required employer contributions to the system

Adds school resource officers to the existing list of OLERS members, which includes Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers, OSBI officers, Bureau of Narcotics officers, Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement officers, park rangers, and State Board of Pharmacy inspectors

Declared an emergency measure, taking effect immediately upon passage and approval rather than following the standard 90-day waiting period
