District attorney elections in Oklahoma would become nonpartisan, with all candidates filing as independents and appearing on ballots without party designation

County sheriff elections would become nonpartisan, eliminating party primaries and requiring all candidates to file as independents

Removes the requirement that sheriff candidates be registered voters of the party whose nomination they seek, or registered Independents

Maintains existing sheriff qualifications including 2-year state residency, 6-month county residency, minimum age of 25, high school education, and 4 years of full-time peace officer experience

Effective date of November 1, 2025
