Beginning January 1, 2027, all employees of licensed medical marijuana businesses must annually complete an educational training course provided by or approved by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority to receive an employee credential

Training topics may include state statutes and administrative rules, patient privacy requirements, and safe handling and storage of medical marijuana

Employees must submit proof of completion of required educational training as part of their credential application

The Authority (rather than third-party vendors) is now responsible for issuing credentials to employees upon successful completion of background checks, training, and eligibility verification

Effective date: November 1, 2025
