Oklahoma Medicaid plan administrator must create a new provider code for master's and doctoral level behavioral health clinical interns enrolled in nationally accredited programs preparing students for LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LADC, or psychologist licensure

Behavioral health clinical interns may only bill through clinical sites accredited by CARF, The Joint Commission, ASAM, Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, COA, or other national behavioral health accrediting bodies

On-site supervisors (licensed behavioral health providers) may supervise no more than six behavioral health clinical interns at any time

Clinical interns must comply with all registration, training, documentation, and protocol requirements applicable to other Medicaid behavioral health providers
