Extends the sunset date of the Oklahoma Advisory Council on Indian Education from July 1, 2026 to July 1, 2031, allowing the Council to continue operating for an additional five years

The 18-member Council makes recommendations to the State Board of Education on matters affecting Native American students, promotes educational opportunities, and monitors how the public education system impacts Native American students

Council membership includes tribal representatives, tribal education department representatives, public school teacher and superintendent organization representatives, and state education officials appointed by the Governor, Speaker of the House, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and Chancellor of Higher Education

The Council is required to submit annual reports to the State Board of Education evaluating the effectiveness of Oklahoma's public education system in meeting the needs of Native American students

Effective date is July 1, 2026, with an emergency clause for immediate effect upon passage and approval
