Enacts the Uniform Judicial Interview of Children Act, establishing procedures for judges to conduct private interviews with children in civil cases involving custody, visitation, adoption, guardianship, and relocation matters

Requires judicial officers conducting interviews to have specialized training in interviewing children and mandates that an interview record be created for each judicial interview

Permits children, their attorneys, guardians ad litem, or parties to request a judicial interview, but leaves the decision to conduct one within the judicial officer's discretion based on the child's best interest

Prohibits parties and their attorneys from attending interviews, but allows the child's attorney and guardian ad litem to attend in person and propose questions

Requires disclosure to parties if a child makes a contested factual allegation (beyond expressing views) that could be dispositive in the case, with opportunity to respond; effective November 1, 2026
