Mobile food vehicles operating prior to July 1, 2024 that produce smoke or grease-laden vapors must comply with current fire codes, except for automatic fire extinguishing systems, if they maintain portable fire extinguishers per NFPA 10 standards

Requires a six-liter Class K-rated portable fire extinguisher for all cooking equipment using solid fuels, vegetable oils, or animal fats

State Fire Marshal has jurisdiction over fire and life safety compliance and must conduct annual inspections in each of the four state quadrants, plus twice annually in counties exceeding 400,000 population

Declared an emergency measure, taking effect immediately upon passage and approval
