Voter registration applications in Oklahoma must include either a recognized political party affiliation or an explicit Independent designation to be considered complete

Applications that fail to indicate a party affiliation or Independent status will not be accepted; applicants will be notified and required to make a selection before registration can proceed

Changes current law which automatically designated voters as Independent if they left the party affiliation section blank

Amends 26 O.S. 2021, Section 4-112 relating to registration application requirements
