Removes the 30-day limit on physical therapy treatment without a physician referral, allowing licensed physical therapists to evaluate and treat patients indefinitely without requiring a referral from a licensed health care practitioner

Eliminates the previous requirement that treatment beyond 30 days must be under referral from a physician, surgeon, dentist, chiropractor, podiatrist, or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Workers' compensation claims remain excluded from direct access provisions and still require referrals

Physical therapist assistants may continue to provide treatment under the supervision of a physical therapist
