Increases the maximum professional development hours from 150 to 200 during any five-year period for classroom teachers with less than five years of full-time teaching experience in the preceding ten years

Maintains the existing 150-hour maximum for all other classroom teachers during any five-year period

Applies to local, state, or federal professional development or training requirements established by district boards of education

Effective date of July 1, 2026, with an emergency clause for immediate effect upon passage and approval
