Landowners and lessees of agricultural land may use snares to trap coyotes and feral hogs on their property year-round without obtaining a trapping license

No limit on the number of coyotes or feral hogs that may be snared under this exemption

Snares must be checked at least once every 24 hours

Violations of the snaring provisions carry fines of $25 to $200

Effective date: November 1, 2026
