Teachers with National Board certification will receive a $5,000 annual bonus for five years (reduced from ten years for new certifications beginning July 1, 2026), paid by January 31 each year from state lottery funds

Teachers who attained National Board certification before July 1, 2026 and were already receiving bonuses or salary increments will continue receiving the $5,000 annual bonus for the remaining duration of their ten-year certification period

National Board certification salary increment column is removed from the state minimum salary schedule beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, eliminating the separate pay tier for certified teachers

Education Leadership Oklahoma program administration transfers from the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation to the Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability

Effective date is July 1, 2026, with an emergency clause for immediate effect upon passage
