Health plans must pay providers the full allowable amount for services rendered, including both the payer and patient share, regardless of whether the patient has paid their cost share

Health plans are prohibited from contractually requiring clinicians to collect patient cost-sharing amounts

Violations are subject to fines and sanctions as determined by the Attorney General, with an effective date of November 1, 2026
