Persons who witness a violent crime being committed against another person cannot be prosecuted for taking reasonable actions to defend the victim

Reasonable actions include stopping the violent crime and ensuring the victim's safety until law enforcement arrives

Protection applies regardless of whether the intervening person holds an official capacity or not

"Violent crime" is defined by reference to Section 571 of Title 57 of the Oklahoma Statutes
