State Board of Career and Technology Education must establish a pilot program providing grants to public school districts for career and technology programs serving students in grades 9-12

Districts are eligible if the proposed program is not available at a technology center within 50 miles, addresses a demonstrated workforce need, and shows public support including student interest

$10,000,000 allocated for pilot program grants, with amounts determined based on number of approved applicants and program costs

Grants must be distributed to a representative sample including districts with ADM over 2,500-10,000 students, districts with 2,500 or fewer students, and districts with 1,000 or fewer students

Grant recipients must submit reports one year after implementation including itemized expenditures, student participation data, and recommendations; State Board of Education will determine if programs qualify for graduation credit
