Requires 48-hour written notice posted near property deemed abandoned before seizure, informing owners where property will be stored and how to reclaim it

Mandates two verbal notifications to owners of unabandoned property (at 48 hours and 24 hours before removal) prior to any removal action

Requires removed unabandoned property to be stored securely for at least 90 days before disposal, with written notice posted at removal location

Permanently prohibits disposal of birth certificates, government-issued identification documents (driver licenses, passports), and unexpired prescription medications regardless of storage duration
