Adds a new category to Oklahoma's lawful firearm pointing statute: persons holding a valid handgun license under the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act may lawfully point firearms, knives, or other deadly weapons at others

Existing law already permits lawful pointing during self-defense, defense of property, defensive display, and by law enforcement, licensed security guards, military personnel, and performers in theatrical/film productions

Unlawful pointing remains a felony when done willfully without lawful cause for purposes of threatening, discharging, malice, injury, intimidation, pranks, or anger

Effective date: November 1, 2026
