Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education must establish a two-year youth apprenticeship pilot program beginning in the 2026-2027 school year

Two technology center school districts will be designated to coordinate with public schools, each assigning an apprenticeship coordinator to build employer relationships and facilitate student participation

Students age 16 and older enrolled in participating districts may participate in apprenticeships and receive pay for their work

Public school districts and participating students (or parents/guardians for those under 18) must sign indemnification agreements protecting employers from liability claims, except in cases of gross negligence, willful misconduct, or legal violations

A report evaluating the pilot program's impact on student apprenticeship participation must be submitted to the Governor and legislative leaders by December 1, 2028
