Transfers authority for approving career-readiness assessments from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce to the State Department of Education, working with the Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability

Removes the "subject to availability of funds" limitation, making career-readiness assessments a requirement rather than contingent on funding

Requires assessments to be offered to students in grades 10-12 at least once before graduation, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, at no cost to participating students

Assessments must measure foundational workplace skills including applied mathematics, workplace documents, graphic literacy, and critical thinking/leadership collaboration

Directs the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to create rules allowing state colleges and universities to grant college credit based on career-readiness assessment scores and credentials
