Beginning with the 2027-2028 school year, Oklahoma public high school students must complete instruction on fetal development by watching an ultrasound video or instructional video produced by a non-profit human rights organization, with a minimum length of 3 minutes

Instruction may be integrated into existing subjects within the school curriculum

School districts must provide written notification to parents or legal guardians one week before the instruction, including information on how to opt their student out

Students who are opted out by parents or guardians cannot be subject to any disciplinary procedures

Effective date of July 1, 2026, with an emergency clause for immediate effect upon passage and approval
