Each public school district must create a library advisory committee for every grade level offered by the district

Each committee must include three members: a school board member, a teacher of that grade level, and a parent or legal guardian of a student enrolled in that grade level

Committees are responsible for reviewing existing library materials and approving new print materials, nonprint materials, multimedia resources, equipment, and supplies

Library collections must reflect community standards and be age-appropriate for the population served

Effective date is July 1, 2026, with an emergency clause allowing immediate effect upon passage and approval
